Zija: How To Be A Zija Top Producer

MLM Companies

Zija, headquartered in Lindon, Utah, is a multilevel marketing company in the health and wellness products segment.

If you seek to become a top earner in Zija, the way to do it is to implement a promotional plan that puts your message in fromt of thousands of people – not merely a handful of friends, family members and people you know.

You absolutely need to learn the #1 skill of all top earners: marketing to massive numbers of people at a time.

Here are 3 ways top earners in companies such as Zija dominate today:

Zija Strategy #1: Market More Than Everyone Else

Top producers in businesses similar to Zija usually outpromote the competition.

How well you implement the basic home business skills (prospecting, following up, getting people in front of presentations) will influence your success in Zija.

But it’s also true that the VOLUME of your activities makes as much of a difference, or more than, how well you perform each task.

Promoting far more than your competitors in Zija means attracting more website visitors and generating more leads each day than your competitors in Zija.

If you’re creating a blog, then go ahead and post more articles, video clips, and blog posts than others promoting Zija.

If you are advertising, then place a larger number of advertisements, in more places, than most of your competitors promoting Zija.

Every time you do webinars to introduce Zija then do 1-3 webinars just about every 7 days. Don’t do just one webinar every month.

Marketing more than everyone else means sending an email broadcast with useful strategies (and a call to take action!) to your Zija list of leads daily. Not occasionally. Daily!

Get an edge by just plain IMPLEMENTING MORE MARKETING, FOLLOWING UP MORE AND DOING MORE WEBINARS than your competition marketing Zija.

If you drive more website visitors, produce a larger number of leads, and do more presentations than others in your niche, you will almost certainly earn more than the Zija competition.

Zija Strategy #2: Make Attrition A Non-Issue

More than 80 percent of the people in your Zija organization will quit the business within the first year. Attrition is one of the biggest problems Zija marketers face.

People in companies such as Zija are usually taught two methods to solve their attrition issue. The first strategy is to assist your new Zija reps to get into profit quickly, so they have reason to stay in the game. The second approach is to get your Zija downline members to feel part of the “team”, something bigger than themselves, so they want to stay part of the group. Live team events, Zija team conference calls, and one-on-one coaching can foster a sense of team.

I have tried both of these methods. They don’t stop attrition in opportunities such as Zija as much as you’d think. Worse, these strategies actually create several new problems.

By attempting to get every new Zija distributor making money right away, you end up devoting a HUGE amount of time on the people least capable of sponsoring new Zija reps themselves. This takes focus away from your best people, the top 20% of your Zija downline that will drive 80% of all your income. By focusing on the wrong people, you foster dependency.

The other approach is to create a sense of team loyalty among your Zija team through live events, team conference calls, etc. This takes up enormous amounts of time and can also make your people dependent on you. You’ll end up with many underperforming team members who stick around for the team connection but sponsor few or no people into Zija.

You’re running a business, not a self-help group. You must learn to focus 90% of your support efforts on the small minority of people on your Zija team doing most of the sponsoring, NOT on the masses of people who need the most help.

A contrarian but effective approach to the attrition problem is to revise your business model not to boost retention, but rather to make retention much less important. To make retention less important to your business, promote affiliate products that can easily add a dozen or more new streams of income. This diversifies your income and makes you less dependent on your downline for revenue. When you depend less on your downline for income, attrition matters less.

Another solution to your attrition problem is to promote a high ticket direct sales opportunity (sometimes called a “top tier”) that pays commissions of $1,000 or more per sale. In contrast, most network marketing comp plans such as Zija pay a $50-$100 sign-up bonus for each new rep you sponsor, forcing you to build a large team and build a large residual check to make a full-time income. If you earn a commission of $1,000 or more each time you sponsor a new rep, it’s like you’re earning 3-4 years of residual income checks up front. It doesn’t matter if this new person quits right away, because you get paid so much up front. This approach makes attrition almost irrelevant to your business!

Solve your attrition problem by relying less on your Zija downline. Promote affiliate products and a high ticket opportunity to make your attrition problem far less significant.

Zija Strategy #3: Focus On One Thing At A Time

When network marketers in opportunities such as Zija first start to learn to market online, they try to master too many new things all at the same time.

Instead of focusing on just a single way to pull people to their website, such as promoting on LinkedIn, they try to master all these “free” things at the same time.

Rather than learn ONE place to advertise online, such as banner ads, or pay per click, they attempt to learn how to profitably advertise in multiple formats, all at the same time.

Because they’ve over-committed, novice Zija reps tend to feel overwhelmed, like they’re drinking from a fire hose.

And they end up quitting Zija. I have known MANY new marketers in companies similar to Zija who experience this.

Do you eventually want to have multiple traffic sources for your Zija opportunity in place? Yes.

But the key is eventually, not immediately.

For starters, the most critical thing is to simply create some results. And that’s only going to happen if you concentrate your efforts on learning ONE strategy at a time.

Only attempt to learn a new advertising method after you are generating two to three dozen leads daily for your Zija venture from a single strategy.

Attempting to take on too many promotional tactics at the same time is not the best approach.

By concentrating on learning one thing at a time, you will get more results, faster. You’ll feel better about your Zija business because you’re getting results, and your energy level will rise as a result.
